Login Screen #
The login screen is used for Opening Shift, Clocking In and Out Employees, and Going on Break/Resume Break.
Open a Shift:
- To open a New Shift, enter your four digit access pin.
- Select Sign In.
- A popup will appear asking you to enter your new shifts Opening Cash Drawer Balance. 4. Input your Opening Cash Drawer Balance.
- Select Enter.
- A popup will appear asking to confirm your Opening Cash Drawer Balance. 7. Select Yes to complete the opening of a New Shift.
Note: If a shift with the pin entered is already opened it will not ask you to enter an opening cash drawer balance.
Clock In: #
- To Clock In an employee, enter your four digit access pin.
- Select Clock In.
- A popup will appear showing information about the Employee Name, Clock In Date, and Clock In Time.
- Select OK to successfully Clock In.
Note: If an employee is already clocked in then a popup will appear saying “You have already Clocked In!”
Clock Out: #
- To Clock Out an employee, enter your four digit access pin.
- Select Clock Out.
- A popup will appear showing information about the Employee Name, Clock Out Date, and Clock Out Time.
- Select OK to successfully Clock Out.
Note: If an employee is not clocked in and you try to clock out, a popup will appear saying “Please Clock In First.”
Break
- To go on Break, enter your four digit access pin.
- Select Break.
- A popup will appear showing information about the Employee Name, Break Out Date, and Break Out Time.
- Select OK to successfully go on Break.
Note: If an employee is already on break, a popup will appear saying “Please first click Resume to log in.” indicating that the employee is already on break.
Resume
- To Resume from break, enter your four digit access pin.
- Select Resume.
- A popup will appear showing information about the Employee Name, Resume In Date, and Resume In Time.
- Select OK to successfully Resume from break.
Note: If an employee is not on break then a popup will appear when trying to resume from break saying “You are not on break.”
Main Menu Functions and Accesses #
Cash Register: #
The Cash Register is where you will be able to take all sales transactions.
- From the main menu screen select the Cash Register Menu.
- Once the Cash Register Menu is selected you will be taken to the Cash Register screen.
Note: The cash register is where you will also be able to complete all sales transactions as well as printing of the end of day report.
Time Card: #
The Time Card Menu is where you will be able to track employee work hours by clocking in and out of shifts as well as going on and resuming from break.
Steps:
- From the main menu screen select the Time Card Menu.
- Once the Time Card screen is open you will be able to see all employees who actively have an open shift as well as those who are clocked in.
Note: Each employee will have their own personal four digit pin to access the features with. It is important not to share employee logins with one another as it could lead to inaccuracies in reporting and functionality.
Item Management: #
Item Management is where you will be able to access your entire product list. You can add, edit, delete and clone items as well as print labels and change item prices from this menu.
- From the main menu screen select Item Management.
- The Item Management menu will open and display all of the products in your store.
Note: Item management is accessible from the POS, Back Office, and Mobile Applications. This will give you full access to all of the products in the store as well as the ability to add new items.
Inventory Management: #
Inventory Management is where you will be able to add purchase bills, process EDI invoices, make adjustments, and add your store’s distributors.
- From the main menu screen select the Inventory Management.
- Inventory Management will open and display a dropdown of features you can access.
Note: Inventory management can only be accessed if permitted by the user permissions. This section will allow you to control how your inventory will be input into your system.
Customer/Loyalty: #
Customer Loyalty is where you can add customers into your store. You can also create house accounts and provide in store credit and balances. Customer settlements can also be made through the customer loyalty menu.
- From the main menu screen select Customer Loyalty Program.
- Customer Loyalty Program will open and you will be able to see all existing customers in your store.
Note: There is no rewards system setup in RetailzPOS. The customer loyalty is more so for tracking customer sales as well as in house accounts. All customer settlements can be made from both the POS and the back office.
Reports: #
Reports will allow you to filter out specific sales reports giving you overall insights on how and where your business is performing the best and worst.
- From the main menu screen select Reports.
- Reports screen will be displayed. The display will show a list summaries and can view different kinds of reports as well.
Note: All reports can be custom filtered by date range as well as batch numbers. You may also print the reports from this menu directly. Not all reports are available from the POS reports menu but from the back office you will have a larger option of custom reports.
Back Office: #
Back Office will allow you to access features that are not available from the POS side of the system. 1. From the main menu screen select the Back Office.
- The Back Office will open a new screen which will display your store’s dashboard.
Note: The back office is password protected by the administrator account. Without the admin four digit pin you will not be able to get into the back office from the POS. The back office is available by web portal login using the store’s email and password.
Item History: #
Item History will allow you to view Item Quantities (Graph), Price/Cost/Quantity Changes, Purchase History, and Transaction History for all items in your store.
- From the main menu screen select Item History.
- The Item History screen will open and display your Quantity Graph.
Note: Item history will give you the ability to view single item information at once. All item history can be searched through custom filters and date ranges to gain better business insights on your store.
